Indiana’s first “certified” forest products go to market
The first “certified” products from Indiana’s state forests entered the market in April when nine timber harvesting companies made offers on three forest products sales at the Jackson-Washington State Forest. 
James named to Great Lakes commission
Bill James, chief fisheries biologist for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, has been nominated to the Great Lakes Fishery Commission by President George W. Bush.

Experimental goose season was successful
An experimental late Canada goose hunting season in 30 Indiana counties got off to a flying start with hunters bagging almost 4,800 birds during the 15-day season that began Feb. 1.

Paula's Habitat - A Wildlife Learning Center
The two-plus acres of land at the IWF headquarters in Zionsville has been dedicated to creating a model wildlife habitat in honor of past IWF president and champion of IWF causes, Paula Yeager. Volunteers are busy planting trees and native plants. If you would like to get evolved, give us a call.
