Join the Indiana Wildlife Federation and our partners for a day of impact at Belmont Beach (2020 N White River Pkwy Dr W, Indianapolis, IN 46202). This amazing location along the banks of the White River in the Haughville neighborhood of Indianapolis is being transformed back to its glory days. With the leadership from the Friends of Belmont Beach this historic swimming hole is being revitalized. We will help by removing invasive plants and picking up litter in preparation for the Beach’s reopening this Spring! If you’re new to invasive plant removal or an old pro, we want you here. Snacks, tools and gloves will be provided as well as lots of guidance and comradery! Meet at the Beach at 11:00 a.m., work for several hours and finish the day with some history of Belmont Beach as well as a short nature hike through a magical piece of Indianapolis. Email workday@indianawildlife.org to RSVP. Additional details will be sent to those who sign up!
