Greenwood Stormwater Operations & Nature Center

225 S Washington St, Greenwood

Starting from the Nature Center, the trail leads to Pleasant Run Creek for easy access to the waterway. The trail winds its way through a variety of trees and plants that have signs with information about how those parts of the ecosystem impact the water cycle. You will see bird-houses for wood ducks and bluebirds, and visitors can see examples of types of pervious pavements, which allow water to pass through to the ground.

Also, as a Certified Wildlife Habitat, native plants have been added in the wooded areas, prairie areas, rain gardens, and butterfly gardens.
