Urban Wilderness Trail

The east side of the White River to the south side of the Fall Creek tributary in Indianapolis

This moderately trafficked crushed limestone trail near the White River and downtown Indianapolis is the first trail to be certified by our trails program. Through the work of the Indiana Invaders Coaching Staff and Support Staff, this area was transformed from Department of Public Works service roads to a beautiful trail that runs alongside 210 acres of wildlife habitat.

The Urban Wilderness Trail site hosts numerous public events, volunteer work days, and is our most popular location for our September Monarch Tagging Events. Keep an eye on our events calendar for our next Urban Wilderness Trail adventure!
